First John hits us right where we live our lives. It is about love and God alone establishes the standard of love. But, the world tries to define love by their own measure. The world acts like the way it acts because it does not live in God’s standard of love. It chooses to do that. When we try on our own, we muck it up. BUT, we don’t have to do it alone.
