The Missoula Children’s Theatre, with Clancy School, presented Robinson Crusoe.  Or, more like a very loose, funny version of Robinson Crusoe.   The team comes in on a Monday, does auditions, and practices with the students Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  The students then perform two shows on Friday.  They always do a great job.  This year, Ana made the part as “Myrtle the Turtle.”  Last year, Ana was asked, the day before the performance, if she could play one of the leading supporting roles on their rendition of the “Little Mermaid.”  Click the picture to see lots more from Robinson Crusoe.

Our oldest daughter is “THE” teacher at the East Malt Hutterite Colony. We were invited to the colony before Christmas when we were picking up Heather to bring her home for the Christmas vacation.  We enjoyed a great Christmas performance by the kids, and met several Colony members.  We were treated like royalty and made some new friends.  Our children definitely want to go back and see their friends again.  Here are a couple of pictures.  Click one to see larger views.

It is always a fun time and much more relaxing than trying to fight the crowds, the carnivals, and the drunks at fairs in larger populated counties.  The kids had a blast.  A couple of the features were the “Tiernan Irish Dancers,” and the “Boulder River Carousel.” Click the picture to see a slideshow of photos.

Katie and Desire’ had their Eighth Grade Graduation on Thursday. The School put on a nice ceremony.  We are proud of bout Katie and Desire’ for their accomplishments.  And also, congratulations to Desire’ for winning a “Citizenship Award” for her school and civic contributions.  She also received a fourth place ribbon for the Einstein Award in her science class.  That means she was the fourth highest in the science class.  We are proud of you both and we love you!  Click the picture to the left to view a slide show.

Clancy, Boulder, and Montana City students attended this nice concert on May 19th.  Ana has been playing the clarinet this year and participated in the concert.  Ana and all of the students from the three schools did a fantastic job.

We have been anxious to see this film since before it was actually released.

“Come What May” was made by homeschoolers, Advent Film Group, and Patrick Henry College.  This is their first film, and for being their first, it will touch your heart and challenge your convictions.  Pick up a copy of “Come What May” and give it a watch.  But get ready to be challenged.

Today was one of those days.  I feel sad for those churches that have such a small view of God that they don’t expect Him to show up there.  He is so good, and He is healing lives, inside and out.

After church, we were invited to some friends house for brunch.  We had all of the eggs, bacon, and french toast that we could possibly put inside us.  Oh so very good.

Last Sunday, seven days ago, we received over 20 inches of new snow.  It has been melting quickly, but we have enough left that Ana, Alia, and J.J. could have a fun time sledding on it.   They tried sledding on it last Sunday, but it is almost impossible to sled in 20+ inches of snow.

Katie got a part as a “Sea Scout” and Ana got a job as a stage manager.  For Ana, that changed yesterday when one of the top actresses was not able to continue with the play.  Ana was asked to play “Delia” the mermaid, the oldest of four sister mermaids.  She had ONE DAY to learn all of her parts.

The play was presented today, and both Katie and Ana did a superb job with their parts.  Ana got a special recognition and applause for the great job she did with only one day’s worth of practice.

Great job girls!
