We were greeted, once again, this morning, with a beautiful Montana sunrise. Here are a couple of pictures. Click on one to see a larger view.

I cropped one of them and made it suitable for use as a desktop wallpaper. Click the picture below, then right click and select “Save As” and save it on your computer.

Here are a few photos of things I’ve come across in the past couple of weeks while traveling around Montana and at home.

 A Cattle Drive In Montana
It is spring time in Montana and the ranchers are moving their cattle. As I travel across this beautiful state, I frequently come across cattle drives. This was a large one and whenever traffic started to make headway through the drive, the cattle sped up also, and made our achievement, null and void.

 Don't Park In My Spot!
OK now, for all you A.D.A. experts out there, this one takes things to the extreme. OK, OK, we won’t park there! Actually, it is a dog kennel that is for sale.
Those Fake Branches Are Ruining My View.
This one is really wild. Oh, I want to live in the mountains of Montana, AND I wasn’t my precious cell phone, but don’t you dare put up a tower to ruin my view! So, let’s put some fake branches on it and ruin a wider portion of the view! (BTW, being a Ham Radio Operator, in my opinion, a tower never ruins the view, IT IS THE VIEW.)

Montana is well known to be “The Last Best Place”. My brother and sister in law own some storage units in Milltown, Montana (near Bonner, which is near Missoula). Their storage units are called the “Last Best Space”.
Today, I was traveling by while on my job, and was stopped by a nice group of mountain sheep right in front of the “Last Best Space” storage units. This is why I love Montana so much, and my brother’s the “Last Best Space” storage units are indeed located in “The Last Best Place” – Montana!

I’ve just returned from three days near the Port of Wildhorse, North of Havre, Montana. The land is flat and goes forever. The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful. Click HERE to see my collection of beautiful Montana scenes that I’ve captured while traveling around the beautiful state of Montana.

A clear shot of my dirty windshild and a blurry shot of the truck |
 I think I see them |
 Yes, elephant tails! |
 Elephants passing through Montana? |
As I was driving home today, a big blue 18 wheeler passed me. It had open doors on one side, and I could hardly believe what I saw. I happened to have my camera with me, and caught a very blurry picture through the windshield while the truck was turning at an exit in front of me. I followed the truck and it parked in a vacant lot, where I could get proof that I was not seeing things, like “ELEPHANTS” that were not there. Here is the proof, a bunch of elephant tails, in Montana! Click the pictures to see a larger view.

I travel around the state for my job. I am an Electronice Repair Tech for the State of Montana. Today, I had to travel to a site near Bonner, Montana. A strong spring snow storm blew through right at the same time I had to do some repairs at a site. I do most repairs at the site and out doors. It was an interesting experience trying to “Solder in a Snow Storm”. There was no “Solder Smoke” created today; just “Solder Steam”. I was able to get the job done and get on my way. HERE are some pictures I took at the site, along with a bunch of other pictures I’ve taken while I travel around the state. John

As many of you may know, I work for the Montana Department of Transportation. A video has been produced by MDT called “Room to Live” that describes the importance of seat belts. This is a very impactful video and I encourage you to watch it. In your car, there is “Room to Live“… if you have your seatbelt on.
