On November 28, there was a party helping Missionary Mary Ballenger celebrate her 70th birthday. Mary is a Missionary to Africa and is the Academic Dean at the West Africa Advanced School of Theology (WAAST).  It was a very nice time giving honor to this fine servant of God who has dedicated most of her life in His service.  Click HERE for more information on WAAST.  We love you Mary!

Carol and Desire’ celebrated their birthdays together on July 2nd.  It was early for both of them, but as almost always, Carol’s usually occurs during Family Bible Camp, and Desire’s usually occurs during Jr. Teen Camp. This year was no exception, so we relaxed with a day of celebration well ahead of their actual birthdays.  They both seemed to enjoy it.  Click on the picture to see more from their combined birthday celebration.  Happy Birthday Carol! Can you decode this Morse Code?

Can you decode this Morse Code?

Today is Samuel Morse’s birthday. Samuel Morse is the inventor of the Morse Code which many Amateur Radio Operators around the world (including me) use every day for fun and efficient communications.  Today, Google celebrated the day by modifying their search logo.  Can you decode it?  You can visit my Ham Radio web site HERE for more information about Ham Radio.

Merry Christmas from The McDougall's Home

All of us at the McDougalls’ Home wish you the Very Merriest Christmas.  Embrace the free gift God has given us as we remember the time when God left His throne, stepped into time, and entered this world as a baby boy.  The Creator became like one of His created, so He could live the life we couldn’t, and suffer and die the death we deserved, all because He loved us so much.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.  John 3:16,17 (NIV)
