Well, it happens to all of us.  Another birthday. When we are young, we look forward to our birthdays, as we get older, we don’t really care to be reminded that we are growing older.

This year, though, I was looking forward to my birthday.  Look at the pictures, and you will notice that one of the presence I got was a new laptop computer.  Yeah!  I am using it now to write this up.  It is a nice Acer Aspire 7740 laptop with a large 17.3 inch screen.  And of course, I promptly put the newest version of Ubuntu Linux on it as I use Linux instead of Windows.  Very nice!

Carol and Desire’ celebrated their birthdays together on July 2nd.  It was early for both of them, but as almost always, Carol’s usually occurs during Family Bible Camp, and Desire’s usually occurs during Jr. Teen Camp. This year was no exception, so we relaxed with a day of celebration well ahead of their actual birthdays.  They both seemed to enjoy it.  Click on the picture to see more from their combined birthday celebration.  Happy Birthday Carol! Happy Birthday Desire’

Can you decode this Morse Code?

Can you decode this Morse Code?

Today is Samuel Morse’s birthday. Samuel Morse is the inventor of the Morse Code which many Amateur Radio Operators around the world (including me) use every day for fun and efficient communications.  Today, Google celebrated the day by modifying their search logo.  Can you decode it?  You can visit my Ham Radio web site HERE for more information about Ham Radio.

We celebrated J.J.’s fifth birthday a couple of days ago.  We had a small party for him with his Uncle Dave, Aunt Melodee, a friend named Andrew and Andrews mom Kathy.  All he wanted was a screwdriver cake, so Carol made him a cake with screwdrivers on it.  He got a tool set that was complete with a drill/screw gun, a tool belt, and a tool box.  Click the picture to see more photos of his birthday.

What does Birthday, Volley Ball, and Moldova have in common?

This was a busy week end.  We celebrated Ana’s 12th birthday.  Ana invited some friends to stay over night.  It was a fun time.  Desire’ had a Volley Ball tournament this week end also.  The Clancy Cougars “red team” came in first place.  Congrats!  Carol and John were also very busy packing for their trip to Moldova next week. Wow!  Click HERE to see some pictures of this busy but fun week end.

Here is some catching up of pictures that have been piling up. The first few are of my birthday that has come and gone again. J.J. had a good time with the balloons which were leftover from Melodee’s birthday.

Then, some of Ana. Her class had an essay writing contest about D.A.R.E. Ana won the award for the best essay from her class. Great job Ana!

A couple of girls from the Missoula Children’s Theater came to the kids school to put on a cute play of the “Piped Piper“. All of the actors, except one from the Missoula’s Children’s Theater, were from the kids school. All of the auditions, practices and performances were done within four days. WOW! The kids did great and Alia did a great job playing Rat #1. See how cute she was in the play. Great job Alia!
