An original musical, RIVET, written and directed by Mike Hesford, and performed by Jefferson High Drama, from Jefferson High School in Boulder, Montana. Toward the end of WWII, and the lifes of several “Rosie the Riveter’s”.    It is a well written, entertaining, and emotional play displaying a snippet of time in the lives of women workers during the war.

Here it is… The video of Jefferson High School’s Drama Department.  Desire played the role of Annie and did a terrific job. Katie played a homeless person, and Ana helped with the set.   The whole cast did a great job!  You can find lots of photos of the play HERE.

Desire' as Annie

Click the picture to see a lot of pictures from Annie.

Desire’ was asked to take drama this year, her senior year in high school.  She has never taken drama before, and “Intro to Drama” is a requirement for this class, which she did not take.  Their first play of the year was Annie, and Desire’ got the leading role, as Annie!  Although she was very nervous, she did a fantastic job.  Katie also had a part as a homeless person.  See if you can find her.  Notice the hair!  Ana, worked behind the scene, as she is in “Intro to Drama” and helped build the set.  Here is a link to pictures from the production.  I am also working on a video of the event.  Great Job Desire’, Katie, and Ana.

About a week ago, I had to take one of my daughters over to Boulder for a school meeting.  On the way back, as I came over Boulder Hill, heading down the pass to Jefferson City, the sun was just setting.  It was a very beautiful site.  I stopped and took a couple of snapshots and here they are.  Click on a picture to see a larger view.

Katie and Desire’ spent much of Friday (Sept. 25, 2009) at Jefferson High School in Boulder.  They helped decorate the floats, and get ready for the homecoming parade and game.  Desire’ took a video of the parade and here it is.

We enjoyed the day at the Jefferson County Fair in Boulder. Jefferson County is does not have a huge population and the county seat is Boulder.  Boulder is right over the mountain from Jefferson City.  Even though this is a small County Fair, we really enjoy it, for the very fact that it is small. There are not drunks all around, no carnies trying to vie for our buck, and home town people that are just pain nice.  We had a great time.  A plus to it was the classic car show at Boulder Park.  We walked through and reminisced about the good ole’ days.  Click the pictures to see some of our fun and also see the new Gallery page I am putting together.  Enjoy!  John
