Our project for the summer, has been building a new retaining wall in our back yard.  It has been a long hard process, with quite a few weeks of no work because of other activities, and hot weather.  We are, however, making progress.  Here are some pictures of our blood, sweat, and tears.

Life has been busy at the McDougalls Home and I am a bit behind on my posts.

We did not go camping over the Memorial Day weekend.  Rather, we went on a nice picnic on Saturday at a campground about 15 minutes away from our house.  We had a real fun time.  Click the picture on the left to see more of our fun picnic.

On Memorial Day (Monday), we had to stick around to receive a load of about 33,000 pounds of blocks for our retaining wall.  We have a retaining wall in our back yard that was quite delapidated, and in dire need of replacement.  With our wonderful children’s help, we tore the old one out and we are in the initial stages of building a new one.  It will be very nice when we place the last of the 33,000 pounds in place. Whew!  Click the picture on the left to see it so far.
